Invasive Species PBL in Grade 6
Learning about invasive species is so cool! We have been working on a PBL with partners and have been using Google Docs a lot. It is very fun learning about all different types of invasive species and what we can do as grade 6 students to help get rid of them. So far we have been assigned an invasive species and done some research. We've also decided that for Dundas Conservation Area the best way to get kids attention is by making small post cards. Each group has designed a template for our postcards. I was very happy when my partner and I got our template chosen! We are planning that maybe we will be able to turn these postcards into signs at Dundas Valley. Invasive species are very cool and I am excited to find out what we are doing next in
our PBL's.

Our project on invasive species is really awesome! I think it's important that we send out awareness to kids about invasive species. I think it's fun because we get to use computers a lot. We are making postcards with a really cool template about our invasive species. We are hoping to apply for a grant so we can make our postcards into durable signs to put up at the conservation areas in Hamilton. The point of this project is to send awareness to kids in Hamilton about invasive species. It's cool that we might send the cards to conservation areas. It's a really cool project and lots of fun.
