Battle of the Books

Each year, the Niagara District Christian Schools compete in a "Battle of the Books." The Junior Team is made up of students in grades 4-6, and the Senior Team is made up of students in grades 7 & 8. Each member reads a selection of eight books. In the Spring, the school teams come together in a competition to determine who has the most knowledge about the eight selected books.  They always enjoy their battle day with the team mates, eating pizza, and spending time with other schools.  It is an excellent time of community building between schools.  We are so blessed to have access to so many wonderful books written by talented and gifted authours.

We thank our hosts Covenant Christian School for an excellent day. The facility at Mountainview Christian Reformed Church in Grimsby was a wonderful place to spend a rainy day enjoying a battle over books.  Both the Junior and Senior teams did an excellent job representing our school and sharing their knowledge of the books read this year.  Special congratulations to the senior team who placed 3rd, with only one question less than the 2nd place team.  Great work everyone!  We hope to see many of you back next year.

Thank you also to the parents who drove and showed their support to our participants.
