The CCS Music Ensembles presented a terrific evening of Music on Wednesday, May 28, with a concert: "The Sounds of Spring"
With a welcome and devotional from Mr. Postma to start the evening off, the Praise Team followed and led the audience in a worship song, "Indescribable. The program continued, unannounced, with selections from the Concert Band, Jazz Band, and the Praise Ensemble and was interspersed with readings from the Psalms, led by Grade 8 students. Performers, teachers, family and friends enjoyed this evening of praise to our Lord and we could all celebrate each student's musical gifts. We also enjoyed refreshments, delicious squares, and a time of fellowship together. After this great evening concert and a good night's sleep, the Concert Band and Jazz Band arrived at school on Thursday, May 29, ready for a Music Tour. We were scheduled to play at Dunnville Christian School, Smithville Christian High School, break for lunch at "Rock Creek Park, and then finish with a performance at Covenant Christian School, Smithville. The two bands played well and we really enjoyed performing at each school. |
