EduDeo Fundraiser Emusa Basic School in Zambia
Each year our school participates in a fund-raising event
for a local charity. This year we felt EduDeo Ministriespassionate about raising funds for EduDeo Ministries. When we learned of the needs of Emusa Basic School in Zambia, Africa we were excited to help raise money for such a worthwhile project. At a kick-off assembly Phil Beck showed the students pictures of the damaged school building, as well as a picture of the students crowded together under a tin-roof that was supported by a few poles. That picture made an impact. Seeing the students in Africa in such dark, exposed, and crowded conditions created a sense of urgency to raise enough money to help repair their school before the rainy season began. After collecting sponsors, the students participated in the Road2Hope School Edition Walk-a-thon On October 22. The students were on a mission to reach our goal to raise $10, 000. We were elated to learn that we had raised $19,000! It was exciting for our school to play a role in helping the Emusa Basic School community to repair their building so that they could continue to offer a Christian education to their students.
