Private Music Lessons at CCS

Piano Lessons

We have two private piano teachers at Calvin Christian School.

West 5th Campus: Mrs. Deb Wiebenga | Unity Campus: Mrs. Marsha Heeg

Lessons are scheduled between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday of the school week
Lessons take place from the Second week of September until the first or second week of June, except for holidays and PD days
Lessons are held once a week, for 30 minutes
Lessons are intended for individuals, no group lessons or shared family time slots at this time
Lesson times and payments are arranged between the parent and piano teacher, not the classroom teachers or school office
There are limited before school/recess lesson time slots and priorities to these times are given to students in grade 7 and 8
Once enrolled in lessons you are committing to the whole school year
Lessons are paid for in advance, in 2 or more instalments
Enrolment includes a Spring Recital (usually in April)
Most commonly used curriculum is the Piano Adventure Series, by Faber and Faber. Some Advanced students are recommended to move into the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum. Some students choose to complete the RCM practical examinations
