Robotics Program at CCS

Robotics is a great way for students to get hands on with technology and learn how to design, build, and program robots using LEGO. Our program runs once a week after school for twelve weeks. We do run a beginner and an advanced robotics session for students. In the beginner robotics course we learn how to design and how to program a functional robot. Students work through challenges and competitions to encourage unique designs and solutions. In the advanced robotics, students use their previous knowledge from the beginner robotics course to help solve more complicated problems. Students in this session work more collaboratively to design, build, and test robots that can do much more complex tasks.

With our LEGO Mindstorm robotics kits, student from Grade 1 to Grade 8 are able to understand more about robotics by building their own robots with LEGO. They can also learn to program by using a drag-and-drop programming that can be understood at the Grade 1 level and still provide room for the complex solutions that Grade 8 students come up with.
