Grade 7 Mini Retreat

Last Friday, on September 6, we loaded up the bus with grade sevens for our first ever mini retreat. The bus was jam packed with 56 grade 7’s, parents, and teachers. We all went to Mrs. Mantel’s to enjoy a fun-filled morning.

First we were split up into groups of 4, then each group was assigned a list of fun and creative things to do. Each activity had a certain amount of points to get. We could have a plasma car race for 30 points where two teams would race each other with two people going at a time. Or you could roll down the hill for 5 points. One that was sure to get laughs; perform a dance in front of another team for another 40 points.

After the winning team was announced with 345 points, we played a few group games like Octopus up and down the hill, we had a snack of carrots, cucumbers and juice boxes. After devotions we all assembled together for a class photo. Then it was back onto the bus for our ride back.
