On Friday, September 21, grade 1a had an awesome day at the Ancaster Fair. Despite the very windy conditions, the students said they had a great time and it was a really fun field trip. They had a long day full of shows, exhibits, sightseeing, and getting to know each other better and better.

A personal favourite for most of the students was petting and holding a wide variety of animals. Their favourite was the super soft and cute bunnies. It's always fun to hold them, isn't it? I’m sure for any 6-year-old boys it's the coolest thing in the world to see a king cobra snake. They also got to see other cool animals like police horses and cows. Even though it may have been a little stinky, it was still pretty neat.

One of the best parts of the day was seeing all of the great pieces of artwork and creations. One little boy was so delighted to see his big brothers art on display; he must have been so proud of him. It was such a good day, they said! They even had fun when they were eating lunch as a class.

Overall, I'm sure if you asked pretty much any student in 1a, they would tell you they had an awesome day of building friendships, community, and the best part of all having a blast at the Ancaster Fair.
