Intramural Volleyball Intramural Volleyball

The score is 23 to 24 and team 3 has the serve. If they get this point, they win the game. Ding Ding Ding! Well, there’s the bell, I guess we will never know the final score.

Intramural volleyball started with a simple sign up sheet. The kids excitedly filed into the gym to get their name first on the sheet. A few days later, friends crossed their fingers as they went to check out the rosters. There were some excited squeals as their eyes found their way through the crowd and up on the sheet.

The games started with round robin and they were every Monday and Wednesday at 10:30 recess. Kids that decided not to join into intramural volleyball sat on the gym stage as they cheered on their fellow classmates and friends.

Then, after the round robin, the championships began. The teams were whittled down to just 2: team 1 and team 5. In the final game, everybody held their breath as the opening serve was pounded to the other team's court. As the ball hit the ground all team 5 fans sighed while team 1 fans joined in the “ 1-2-3-4 everybody hit the floor ACE” chant! So, the score is 24-8, and team 1 has the serve. . . ACE!!!! TEAM 1 WON THE FINALS.

Although team 5 lost, they still held their heads high and congratulated everyone for making it to the finals.

Everyone shook hands as the recess bell rang once more, except this bell was to close intramurals. Ding, Ding, Ding.
